Our mission at the Youth Water Initiative is to connect young students, leaders, and innovators together in an effort to stem the dire condition millions of men, women, and children face in Pakistan due to a lack of clean water. We focus on providing sustainable water solutions to villages in order to give communities the access to clean water that they so fundamentally deserve.
Our first milestone will be to raise money to build a solar water pump in the Tharparkar district of Pakistan.
The first step is to raise awareness of the issue. Over 22 million people in Pakistan don’t have access to clean drinking water due to the extreme drought they face.
The average cost for a solar water pump is around $8,000 USD. In order to build our first pump we need your help to raise this money. You can help by starting your own online fundraiser with us and sharing it with your friends! The Youth Water Initiative will also be hosting events throughout the year. RSVP for an event near you!
Once we have achieved our fundraising goal we will place the order for the filtration plant and keep you updated on the progress of construction!
Men, women, and children die of disease due to unclean water or become malnourished and weak due to a lack of water. We have so many people to help.
