Our Vision

Water is Life

Youth Water Initiative was founded in 2019 with the mission of connecting young students, leaders, and innovators together in an effort to address a key human rights issue – the lack of clean drinking water. We aim to stem the dire condition millions of men, women, and children face in around the world due to a lack of clean water. For the past three years, we have focused on providing sustainable water solutions to give communities resources that are crucial to their quality of life.

Over 785 million people live without clean water. This is an enormous amount of people without access to the most basic human need. The majority live in rural areas miles away from any other water source. This prevents people from being able to send their kids to school or even from working. Not only does it keep kids out of school and parents out of work, but the water they do drink is also often unclean and carries diseases that make them sick.

Access to clean water is life-changing.

Clean water allows kids to spend more time in school, parents to make a living, increase access to food, and improve the quality of life for millions of people. Health and clean water also have a direct correlation. Many individuals without clean water in the US face a diabetes crisis because soda is cheaper than water, causing many to turn to the high sugar drink as an alternative.

The problem is huge and daunting, but if we all play our small part, it becomes so much more possible. Together, you can help us work with local groups to install water filtration plants and water pumps across the world.

By donating just $10 you can give communities access to clean water that will change their life.

Sincerely,
The Youth Water Initiative Team
